This week we talk to Linnea Gabbard, a vet tech from Arkansas who manages to live off grid with her vetrinarian husband. Together they’ve been able to build up their personal stores and derive essentially all of their electricity from solar arrays. And as Linnea said, once you get your personal life cleaned up, you move onto other aspects of your life, and for her, that means greening up their vet clinic. They are constantly on the lookout to make their practice greener, and have started building a new clinic that will run on solar.

For some, peaceful parenting can seem a bit exotic, and almost impossible to achieve, for others, it’s just a form of laziness, and for those that practice it, it can become the facilliator of a beautiful relationship between parents and children, while setting those children up for great success in the future. Take a listen and see how peaceful parenting can benefit not just your children, but you.

Hemp is often touted as a miracle crop with countless applications for all; in the last few years it has quickly gained notoriety in the health world, but still faces strict legislative controls that make it all but impossible to grow despite being “legal.” Today’s guest, Ted Metz, came on the show to talk more about the industrial uses of hemp than the medicinal side. We discussed the many uses of hemp in industry and also some of the health effects hemp has on the natural world. Hemp is a beautiful product that can help make the world a “greener” place, and it is imperative that the legislative constrictions be released.
