He was full of information about different types of solitary bees, native to the many different environments of North America and abroad. We talked about how bees are a wonder to gardeners beyond just honey, and why we all need to be growing our own local variety of solitary bees.

Jenni Harris came on for episode 56 to talk about regenerative agriculture and making that transition at White Oak Pastures. Jenni is a fifth generation farmer at White Oak Pastures, and witnessed the transition from traditional industrialized cattle ranching to a more wholistic regenerative practice, that has seen massive growth both in output and variety. We discussed the reasoning behind the transition, and how they have added to and grown their farm to a nationally distributed product with zero waste left behind at the farm.

Jeremy has been raising rabbits for a handful of years, and has given talks and demonstrations at a number of different venues going so far as to provide participants with their own rabbit to process and take home at the end of the demonstration.
