For episode 28 the Liberty Hippie reached out to the Homeschool To College Coach, Ms. Lisa Marie to talk about getting homeschooled kids into college. Lisa is a homeschooling mother of over seventeen years who experienced some of the confusion and unsureness that comes when it’s time for a homeschooled student to apply to college. Through her experience she decided it was a worthy cause to become a college admissions advisor to lend her knowledge and skills to other homeschool families trying to navigate the murky waters of college entrance.

This week on Homesteads and Homeschools, the Liberty Hippie is joined by former homeschooler, currently in pursuit of a PhD, Kayla Fox. Kayla is from Texas and went did her undergrad work near home before venturing north to Montana for some of her PhD work. We discussed some of her experiences homeschooling, as well as her experiences making the transition from homeschool to college.

After the interview with Kayla, the Liberty Hippie talks about some politicians in Kentucky trying to meddle in some homeschool affairs by hindering the ability of “truant” students to be removed from public school and enrolled in an homeschool program.
